¿Quién Somos?
Somos un grupo de vecinos de todas las nacionalidades, representantes de las asociaciones del municipio como la de mujeres, del AMPA y de las instituciones como el ayuntamiento, Comunidad Educativa, Área Sanitaria, y Servicios Sociales.
¿Qué Hacemos?
Tenemos reuniones periódicos con el objetivo de mejorar la convivencia en nuestra comunidad. Queremos todos aprovechar de la riqueza que viene con el conocimiento de otras culturas.
Con este fin organizamos actividades como un taller de intercambio de idiomas, talleres sobre otras culturas, días interculturales, y actividades que fomentan asociacionismo.
Nuestra próxima será el día 15 de marzo a las 10.30 en la Tenencia de Alcaldía, Algarrobo Costa. Estáis todos invitados.

Who are we?
We are a group of residents of all nationalities, with representatives from various associations including the Women’s Association and the Parents’ Association, and from institutions like the town council, the schools, health service, and social services.
What do we do?
We have regular meetings with the objective of encouraging integration and good relations between all nationalities within the community.
We organise activities like language exchange classes, talks, volunteering, and events like intercultural days and fairs.
Our next meeting will be at 10.30 on 15 March in the Tenencia de Alcaldia, Algarrobo Costa.

These fines can be paid at any Spanish Post Office or branch of Santander (in Spain) For payment over the internet:
Go to www.dgt.es; In the large yellow rectangular box on right click on first option – Pago de multas en internet;
Next screen shows 5 icons. Below top left icon showing small picture of a policeman click on Mas Info which produces another screen with same but a larger picture;
Click on 1st item to right of picture – Pago de Multas;
On next screen click on Pago de multas en internet;
On next screen click on option a) in bottom half of screen – Pago de multas (sin certificado digital ni DNTe); Next screen brings up a form in Spanish but click – welcome – at top right to convert it to English and then fill in form;
For Document type best use your Passport and passport number in the 2 boxes;

There has been a run of robberies in the car parks of local stores, Eroski, Lidl’s and others.
In every case the particulars are the same.
While a shopper is loading their car, they are approached and distracted by one person while another steals their bag from their shoulder or from inside their car.
Avoid this happening to you.
Keep your handbag or man bag close or hidden if possible at all times. (One idea is to hide your bag inside your shopping bag under items).
When taking the shopping to your car first put the your handbag/manbag out of reach/sight inside the car and re lock the car.
Then load the shopping to the rear without unlocking the whole car.
Mistrust – walk away from anyone attempting to engage you in conversation in the car park.
It is better to be rude than be robbed.

There are three police organisations, all have “core” roles and duties but each work together where and when necessary, with the nature of the crime or development within an investigation determining which agency takes the elad role.
The Guardia Civil (Civil Guard)
These are recognised by their green uniforms and are responsible for national security, customs and crowd control. You will usually see them on the motorway in either cars or on motorbikes as they also do motorway traffic enforcement.
The National Police (La Policia)
They wear either a black uniform and a white shirt or a blue military style uniform. Their duties include guarding public buildings, the Royal Family and Government figures. If you are a victim of street crime these are the police that will deal with your case. If you are a victim of such crime, you need to make a statement (denuncia) at a police station.
The Municipal Police
They wear blue and white uniforms. They are responsible to the mayor and town hall in each municipality, and their duties include controlling local traffic and parking violations.

Your local police station will provide you with information on a range of queries even details of the nearest chemist on duty.
If you are arrested you will be entitled to make one phone call. You may be allotted the free services of a duty solicitor (abogado de oficio), who may speak only Spanish. If your case is taken to court, the authorities will provide a translator.
Polizeidienste/Verpflichtungen

Ihre Verpflichtungen betreffen die Ueberwachung von oeffentliche Gebaude, die Koenigliche Familie, und Regierungs Beamten.
Sie sind verantwortlich fuer Kriminalitaet in den Strassen. Wenn Sie davon einen Opfer sind muessen Sie einen Erklaerung (denuncia) machen.
Stadtpolizei
Die Stadtpolizei traegt blaue und weisse Uniforme. Sie sind den Buergermeister der Stadt untergestellt. Ihre Verantwortung betrifft Lokalverkehr und Park- Verstosse.

Cars: change of ownership
There is a process to be followed in Spain, as in every other country when you sell or buy a car. This advice covers the purchase of a second hand car – coche de occasion/coche usado.
This is a brief summary of the documentation needed and steps to be followed to ensure the car is registered properly.
This is important legally and practically.
If not complied with you could allow an unscrupulous new owner to purposely fail to register his/her ownership of your former vehicle thereby ensuring (wrongly) that all subsequent speeding or parking fines and other costs are sent to you as the still (incorrectly) registered owner.
Documentation/Process
You are required to present all the following documentation at the local Traffic Department, including a stamped, self addressed envelope, large enough to hold the documentation:
- A completed Transfer Application Form/ Notificación de Transferencia de Vehículos, (available at www.dgt.es ;
- The Circulation Permit of the car, with the transfer of owners listed on the back including the sellers signature;
- The paid up Municipal Vehicle Tax Receipt, together with a photocopy;
- A receipt for the payment of the Vehicle Transfer Tax, Form 620;
When selling a car you are required to pay a transfer tax – Impuesto sobre transmisiones patrimoniales y actos jurídicos documentados/ ITP). As at December 2011 this was 4%. Determined by cross checking with the list published by the Tax Office of values for all new cars sold in Spain.
This value is reduced each year for the age of the car (e.g. by 12 per cent when a vehicle is between one and two years old) until it’s ten or more years old, when the fiscal value is set a 10 per cent of the new value.
The tax must be declared on form 620 (Compra-Venta de vehículos usados entre particulares), which you can pick up from some tobacconists (estancos) or Tax Office. This must be paid within 30 days of selling your car. Payment is made at the Provincial Tax Office (Consejería de Hacienda) of the Regional Government.
- The current ITV (MOT) report and a photocopy; and
- Your Residence Certificate and NIE* and photocopies. (*Advice differs on which is needed so best provide both).
Costs
As at December 2011 the fee was 40 Euros.
Kauf eines Gebrauchtwagens
Wie in jedes Land, kennt der Kauf eines Autos einen Ablauf. Hier wird der Kauf eines Gebrauchtwagens beschrieben (coche de occasion/coche usado).
Hierbei eine Kurzbeschreibung der geforderte Documentation und Schritte die gefolgt werden muessen um sicher zu stellen dass das Auto richtig eingetragen ist.
Wenn nicht, dann laufen Sie das Risiko dass Sie die Geldstrafen der neue Eigentuemer bezahlen muessen.
Documentationsablauf
Sie muessen dem Verkehrsamt die folgende Documentation ueberreichen, inclusive ein an sich selber gerichteter Briefumslag mit Briefmarke:
- Der ausgefuellte Uebertragungsanfrageformular (Notificación de Transferencia de Vehículos);
- Der Fahrerlaubnis des Autos, mit auf der Rueckseitewith die Eigentumuebertragung und Unterschrift des Verkaufers;
- Der Beleg der Bezahlung des Steuer des Autos, mit Kopie;
- Der Beleg der Bezahlung der Uebertragungssteuer, Formular 620;
Wenn Sie einen Auto verkaufen dann muessen Sie einen Uebertragungssteuer bezahlen ( Impuesto sobre transmisiones patrimoniales y actos jurídicos documentados/ ITP).
Am Dezember 2011 war dass 4%. Dieser Betrag wird jedes Jahr reduziert, Z.B. Um 12 % wenn das Auto zwisschen ein und zwei Jahre alt ist. Wenn das Auto 10 oder mehr Jahre alt ist wird der Wert auf 10% der Neuwert gestellt.

Wir sind interessiert neue Spieler kennen zu lernen, jedes Alter ist willkommen und jedes Niveau. Viel Spass und sportliche Betätigung sind garantiert bei einer der meist ausgeübten Sporten der Welt.
Fahre auf dem Küstenweg, – Algrarrobo/Mezquitilla -, nach dem Restaurante „Ottawa“ links abbiegen (dafür musst Du bei dem nächsten Kreisverkehr wenden). Dem Weg an Ottawa vorbei folgen bis zur Sportanlage.

Coaching sessions are organised as follows, (turn up and help/join/support/watch):
- At CP Enrique Ramos (Mezquitilla): Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:00 to 17:00. For ages 6 to 12 year olds;
- At CP José Gil López (Algarrobo): Mondays, 17:15 to 19:00.
For 6 to 12 year olds;
- At the Pabellón Municipal de La Vega: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18:00 to
20:00. Youth (born 1998 and 99), Cadets (born 1996 and 97) and Juniors (born in 1994 and 95);
- At the Pabellón Municipal de La Vega: Thursdays, 20:00 to 22:00. Senior Team: Coaching for competitions.
- At the Pabellón Municipal de la Vega: All Associate Members meet to play for a while: Tuesdays and Thursdays*, 20:00 to 22:00. (*Thursdays while the Coaches work with the senior team).
